home again, home again

2012-05-16 11.52.53

So, my trip to WI was fun, eventful, tiring, exciting, exhausting, daunting, wonderful and all that jazz. Here's my Facebook post on the subject of my arriving home:

Finally home safe and sound. Had a high fever on the plane into Portland at midnight, and spent early Friday morning trying to sleep at the terminal in the Portland airport. I finally reached Spokane yesterday at 8 o'clock in the morning. I slept for most of the rest of the day and ate some real meals. Am happy to be home, but I had a GREAT visit (despite getting sick) and I had the chance to grow up on the trip back and look after myself (somewhat) which was a good thing. I appreciate all the prayers and loving thoughts that were raised on my behalf. ♥ you all!!!!

Heroes // Protagonists: My Top Picks 6-10

And here we have the second installment of my ongoing series: More great heroes. I shall offer you 6-10 of my unorganized list of favorites. I don't now why I'm inadvertently saving the more recognizable heroes for later in the series, but I guess I'm also using this to introduce my readers to movies and series they may not have seen. I hope this series will be as popular as some of my older blog-plotting & I hope you find as much enjoyment in these films and series as I do!

April Showers turn to May Flowers

Source: someecards.com via Lizzy on Pinterest

The Lizzy's question: What do excessive May showers turn to then? Dinosaurs? Ice cream? I mean, lets get something awesome at least out of all this WET. blegh.

What have I been up to while remaining all silent and mysterious? You're all asking that I'm sure. If not, read it anyway.

Like in Kung Fu movies, where the hero gets beat up real badly by the bad dudes (generally in an unfair fight) and then goes up a mountain to heal his wounds and meditate, then comes back and kicks some major horse-feathers. When I'm struggling with something IRL, I don't like to linger about, whining and complaining. Once I have it all in perspective, I come back and address it if need be, otherwise, I put it behind me and move on with a bright smile. That's how a person survives. /drama (I also suspect I may have inadvertently revealed my affection for Kung Fu films... oops.)

Random Doodles/WIPs from my Sketchbook

I thought it was time I shared some more random sketchies... it's been a while. The last one I started last night, but got distracted... so off to the depths of the sketchbook it goes, unfinished, at least until I get inspired again to finish it. The same with several of the others as well.
(That just goes to show how serious my ADD is--- *Oh, is that a chicken?*) ;P

Ciao, peeps!

*bangs head on wall and screams*

So, some of you know, my family doesn't watch regular television. We haven't since I was... *counts on both hands* twelve, I think? We love movies and some TV programs, (my own DVD collection is extensive [that's code for 'crazy huge']) and Netflix is awesome. However, I just recently got a taste of modern telly, and I have one question:

WHAT HAPPENED IN THE PAST NINE YEARS?!?!?!! *looks like frightened bunny*

Important people...

"Just ignore the unimportant people..." --- Words of wisdom from my mother-most-beloved. But then I promptly ask: "Who are the unimportant people?" She replied with a thoughtful expression, "the people who ignore you, demean you, or treat you like you are anything other than special and important." (My mother is slightly biased and thinks that everyone should love and appreciate me. Shame on those of you who don't please my mother. ;P)
